Choosing your colour is less about the photo you saved and more about how you want your roots to look in week eight. Here is how we talk it through at the chair on Lee Blvd.

Balayage: the softest grow-out
Balayage is painted freehand, so the lightness starts away from the root. That is exactly why it is the easiest option to live with when you cannot come back every month — there is no hard regrowth line chasing you. It suits dimension, sun-warmed ends, and a lived-in blonde that still looks good in week ten.
Highlights: control and brightness
Foiled highlights sit closer to the scalp and lift more evenly, so they win when you want real brightness, blending through the top, or a uniform, corrected result. The trade-off is honest: the regrowth line shows sooner, so plan the calendar before you commit rather than after.
All-over colour: coverage and depth

That is what the Strand Test on our hair menu is for: a small, quick reality check before anyone commits to a full head. It is the single best way to avoid an expensive surprise, and no honest colourist will be annoyed that you asked.
How often you will actually be back
A rough rhythm most guests settle into: balayage every three to four months, foils every six to ten weeks, all-over colour every four to six. Southwest Florida sun and humidity also pull tone out faster than the inspiration photos suggest, so ask about a Hair Repair Treatment at the halfway point instead of waiting for the next full appointment.
